who has documented direct blood line back to an patriot who fought in the
American Revolution or provided support to the patriotic cause of liberty. For

  The Wiregrass Chapter, Sons of the American Revolution in Conjunction with the
Oliver Wiley Chapter, Daughter of the American Revolution is in the process of
establishing a chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution in Pike County, Alabama.
The area represents one of the oldest sections of the state and at least two
revolutionary soldiers are know to be buried within the county. (

William Wicker ) Sons and Grandsons of Revolutionary War soldiers were some of the
first individuals to settle not only Pike, but also surrounding counties in south central
part of Alabama.
